What are guide parents?
A guide parent (or support parent) is an alternative to a godparent. These are people who are special to you who you want to help guide and support your child or children.

What happens in a typical ceremony?
The ceremony can include as much or as little as you want – there are no guidelines or rules. As well as commitments and promises made by parents, guide parents or family members, there can be readings poems or music. There is no need to include religious content unless you’d like to. The ceremony can be held in any venue or location.
