Extract of Terms and Conditions from the booking form
Enquiry
Once you have confirmed a date for your ceremony, Ceremonies by Melanie Jane will hold the booking for 7 days. During this time the client must return the booking form and the deposit. Once this document is signed by both parties, this agreement is bound by these terms and conditions.
Booking Deposit
Bookings are only accepted and confirmed once the booking form and the deposit have been received. Ceremonies by Melanie Jane will confirm receipt. The booking deposit is 50% to secure date and time to work on your ceremony. Deposits are non-refundable. Travel to the ceremony and a rehearsal (if required) is included.
Changes to bookings
Following confirmation of the booking, no additional costs or changes to costs will be made unless the client wishes to add extra services. If the final fee has increased due to an addition of services or changes to travel requirements, a new contract will be issued.
Payment of Balance
Payments via bank transfer. Final balance due 12 weeks before the ceremony.
Cancellations by client
Plans can change. Although the deposit is non-refundable the balance is refundable as follows:
Within 4 weeks of the date of ceremony – no refund
Within 8 weeks of the date of ceremony – 25%
Within 12 weeks of the date of ceremony – 50%
Should you need to postpone your ceremony for any reason, any ceremony within a year will remain at the same charge.
Please discuss and confirm charges if a ceremony is being postponed to more than 12 months away.

Due to extreme weather, industrial action, or Government Covid restrictions – Full Refund
In the event of illness, a substitute celebrant will be found with agreement – no extra charge
Your details
Your details will remain confidential. The only exception is in the event of illness where another celebrant will be passed the relevant details with your written consent. Ceremonies by Melanie Jane will ask if you are happy to share pictures and or reviews online and on social media. Please advise if you are not happy to share these.
Legalities
The ceremonies provided by Ceremonies by Melanie Jane are not legally binding. If you wish to make your ceremony legal before or after the event, I can signpost you to the relevant local authority.
